The Myer Foundation has awarded a multi-year grant to Fair Agenda, supporting its mission to address gender injustice through policy change. Established in 2014, Fair Agenda mobilises policy experts, frontline services and the community on campaigns, often collaborating with other organisations.
Fair Agenda's ability to mobilise over 40,000 members and to collaborate with other organisations has been crucial to its success, which includes:
• securing a national plan to address sexual violence in universities – a result of years of campaigning in partnership with End Rape on Campus Australia, The STOP Campaign, The Hunting Ground Australia Project and Dr Allison Henry
• securing a stronger code of conduct for Federal parliamentarians, helping secure a prohibition on discrimination in the parliamentary workplace that mirrors other workplace discrimination law
• contributing to the decriminalisation of abortion in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia.
