The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund are pleased to announce that the 2026 Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships have been awarded to Dr Alicia Kennedy, Dr Campbell Costello and Dr Zanab Malik.

The Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships support the development of breakthrough solutions to Australia’s most pressing social and environmental challenges.

Backed by a 12-month Fellowship program, which includes $180,000 and a range of other supports, the Fellows will dedicate their efforts to the following key initiatives:

  • Dr Alicia Kennedy: HABCare - The Human Animal Bond Care Initiative
  • Dr Campbell Costello: Bush Labs - Outback to Outbreak; Rethinking Rural Response
  • Dr Zanab Malik: My Special Needs Dental Home - a digital platform that will provide tailored oral care guidance

Co-Convenors of the Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowship Committee, which oversees the selection process for the annual Fellowships, Edwina Myer and Jonno Lindsay said:

“The Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships offer recipients a significant opportunity to devote themselves to the initiative they seek to enliven. Alicia, Campbell and Zanab have been identified from a highly competitive field to receive a Fellowship in 2026. We can’t wait to see how their initiatives develop.”

The 2026 Fellows bring to 39 the total number supported by The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund since the program commenced in 2014.
