The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund are pleased to announce that the 2025 Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships have been awarded to Georgia Monaghan, Rebecca Keeley and Joseph Friedman.
The Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships support the development of breakthrough solutions to Australia’s most pressing social and environmental challenges.
Backed by a 12-month Fellowship program, which includes $180,000 and a range of other supports, the Fellows will dedicate their efforts to the following key initiatives:
• Georgia Monaghan: ecomind – youth-led climate mental health and wellbeing support
• Rebecca Keeley: Yarn – improving early intervention outcomes for rural and remote Australian children
• Joseph Friedman: About Time – a platform for journalism and expression by the incarcerated in Australia.
Co-Convenors of the Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowship Committee, which oversees the selection process for the annual Fellowships, Edwina Myer and Jonno Lindsay said:
"The Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships empower recipients to pursue their boldest ideas with focus and purpose. In 2025, Georgia, Joseph and Rebecca have emerged from an exceptionally competitive field to be named Fellows in recognition of their vision and potential for impact. We’re excited to see what they will deliver over the coming year with the support of a Fellowship."
The 2025 Fellows bring to 36 the total number supported by The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund since the program commenced in 2014.
