The 2021 Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships have been awarded to Rebecca Scott OAM, Dr Martin Butson and Max Burt. The Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships support the development of breakthrough solutions to Australia’s most pressing social and environmental challenges.
The Fellows will take 12 months away from their current role to pursue projects that have the capacity to radically shift approaches to the challenges facing Australia today:
- Rebecca Scott is working with a collective of social enterprises to create a fairer and more regenerative food system for Victoria.
- Dr Martin Butson is creating a way to verify that Solar Disinfection of Water (SODIS) occurs for those most in need.
- Max Burt is building a TripAdvisor-style access information web app so people with mobility needs are fully included in society.
The 2021 Fellows bring the number to 24 supported by The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund since the program commenced in 2014.
More information about the 2021 Fellows can be found on the program webpage.
