Overview

Australia is a unique treasure. As one of the most biologically diverse countries on the planet, it is home to more than one million species of plants and animals, many of which are endemic to this country.

With the world’s attention turned to the imminent threat of climate change, we are more and more aware of the threats posed to our natural environment.

We believe that targeted and strategic action is needed, and that it is timely to consider broad issues of sustainability in Australia, amongst indigenous and non-indigenous communities.

The objective of the Sustainability and the Environment Committee is:

To secure cultural and environmental integrity.

The Myer Foundation aims to assist in the area of Sustainability and Environment with its Large Grants Program through the areas of:

Biodiversity
Northern Australia
Water.
